ERM presents a perimeter and waypoint notification solution which includes a driver alert option.

The solution is offered by two products – eFlash and ePOI, each can be used for multiple scenarios:

eFlash

eFlash is an advanced tool to notify and alert the driver when approaching predefined way-points.
eFlash supports up to 500 way-points, which can be downloaded (push) from a remote server using ERM’s eFlash protocol. When connected to a StarLink tracking and telematics device, it uses its GPS location and cellular communication.

The eFlash comes with a 6 LED keys keypad shaped device, intended to be attached to the vehicle’s dashboard. On the silicon cover of the keypad, for each LED key there is a dedicated icon for each type of waypoint hazard such as: Traffic Light icon, General Hazard icon, Dangerous Junction icon etc, it also comes with a volume up and volume down icons. The icon set can be customized to match customer’s needs.

When entering a perimeter close to a predefined waypoint, the relevant LED fleshes and the buzzer sounds a buzz alert for the driver to stay sharp.

eFlash is designed to offer solutions for applications such as:

  • Radar / Speed Camera alerts
  • Geo Zones (radius) in/out alerts
  • Delivery route planning
  • Over speeding violation recording
  • Alert: entering schools perimeter
  • Alert: dangerous road points

ePOI

Just like the eFlash, the ePOI is another advanced tool to monitor and alert when approaching predefined perimeters.
ePOI is designed to locally store up to 40,000 (!) points of interest / landmarks. When connected to a StarLink device it uses its GPS location and communication abilities and will alert the server when approaching / entering / exiting each perimeter.
Perimeters can be updated / downloaded (pushed) from a remote server using ERM’s ePOI protocol.

If needed, a buzzer can be used for the driver to have an audial alert also.

The device is designed to offer solutions for applications such as:

  • Radius in/out alerts
  • Delivery route planning
  • Over speeding violation
